Here's an excerpt from a short story I've been working on for awhile, tentatively called "Silent." I don't want to give too much away, so read and enjoy!
Ha, thanks. The whole thing actually isn't that dark--I mean it's nowhere near done yet--but what I have isn't really that dark. I just chose the most gripping passage for the excerpt, which was, naturally, dark.
